Apple's iPhone generates more revenue in one quarter than Android in its lifetime

In a recent publicly available fiscal Q4 report, Apple claims that iPhone had generated $32.2 billion in revenue. In comparison to that, Google's Android lifetime time revenue is less than iPhone's single quarter revenue, concluded Quartz citing Oracle lawyer Annette Hurst.

Well, this gem of confidential information came out during a trial for ongoing legal battle between Oracle and Google. The California based computer technology giant Oracle files a copyright infringement lawsuit against Google for using its Java software in Android, without paying anything for it.

Oracle lawyer claims in a court on Jan.14 that Android has made $31 billion revenue for Google since it's inception. However, it's also important to note that Apple makes profit through it's sales of hardware and Google through advertisement on it's Android platform. 

According to research firm Gartner, Android owns three times higher market share of mobile operating system than iOS still Apple is 5% more in revenue than all its competitors.
